Bronze represents the raw processing and is based on the traditional method of bronze drawing: the dough is extruded by bronze matrices with inserts enriched with micro-engravings that give the pasta an intense roughness. Our pasta is made from 100% Italian fine hard wheat, which is mixed to achieve the best possible result in protein content, which guarantees a full-bodied consistency, and in terms of protein quality that guarantees the elasticity of the pasta. They are excellent because they cook for a long time, stay aldente and, thanks to their rough surface and their full-bodied consistency, perfectly match all spices. The Mezzi Rigatoni is one of the typical pasta moulds of Italian tradition. Our Barilla Bronze Mezzi Rigatoni have been developed to guarantee a sublime taste experience: they are characterised by their generous shape thanks to a larger diameter and the stronger grooves on the surface of the pasta with a full-bodied consistency. The special bronze drawing gives the pasta an intense roughness thanks to the raw processing method, which is perfect for catching sauces.
