Historically, Maitake mushrooms have been used as a tonic that acts as an adaptogen, invigorating and stimulating the immune system. Shiitake mushrooms have been used for centuries, for its ability to maintain energy.

Shiitake mushrooms are high in proteins, fats, carbohydrates, soluble fibre, vitamins and minerals, with the key component being the polysaccharide, Lentinan.

Reishi mushrooms have been traditionally used in Chinese medicine for at least 2000 years, and referred to as the 'herb of spiritual potency'. Reishi has been indicated in the relief of general fatigue, asthma, insomnia and coughs as well as blood pressure and other cardiovascular problems, containing a few major constituents, including sterols, coumarin, mannitol, polysaccharines and triterpenoids.
