Description
- Cocoa beans are the raw seeds of Theobroma cacao, family Sterculiaceae. The cacao fruit provides 20-50 ripe beans, which have a unit weight of approximately one gram. Its fruit is berry-shaped, being its oval and somewhat flattened grain measures about 2-3 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide and about 1 cm thick. Cocoa beans are distinguished by their geographical origin, degree of purity and their elaboration.
