Gavottes are delicate, crispy, buttery French biscuits with a hint of caramel. Based on a recipe dating back to 1888 in Brittany, France, crepes gavottes are a traditional French biscuit. When Marie-Catherine Cornic accidentally left one of her crpes cooking for too long, she created the first gavotte. She chose to fold and roll it before eating it, and she was pleased with the biscuit's crunchy texture. They are delicious on their own, with tea or coffee, or can be used for baking as a crunchy texture. These 120 individually wrapped portions of 2 biscuits, which come in a lovely metal tin, are perfect as gifts or as a treat for oneself!
